Stage One: Induction &Training

The Claims Academy training programme starts with a 4-8 weeks paid course*, run by claims industry experts.

Claims Academy graduates can achieve Cert CII, a recognised qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute. Its value is recognised by employers throughout the insurance industry and is the first step towards becoming professionally qualified. The Claims Academy pays for students’ exams and provides the very best training to help students obtain a pass.

Stage one of the Claims Academy course focuses on induction and training. It is an intensive programme with weekly testing and reviews and covers:

Phase One: Induction
  • General Insurance: regulations and law
  • Claims Handling
  • Motor Claims
Phase Two: Training & Exam
  • ‘Model Office’: developing & testing skills
  • Exam: professional qualification – Cert CII
  • Deployment: onsite support

Claims Academy graduates have the possibility to join a two-year training programme. Acceptance is not guaranteed, but you lose nothing and will have gained a significant foundation in insurance on which to build your career.

Students accepted onto the programme have the opportunity to take further professional exams, funded by the Claims Academy. These could lead to the CII’s Diploma in Insurance /Advanced Diploma.
